{August 30, 2011}   Cheap Fun in the City

One of the things I loved most about Chicago was that there were so many fun cultural activities that were free! The city is full of place to go and things to see without spending a dime or spending very little. I greatly enjoyed my time in Chicago because I felt like I was able to see so much on my tight budget, it really was an opportunity of a lifetime… to live in a cultural Mecca for several weeks. I hate going to a great city and feeling like I didn’t have enough time to scratch the surface, let alone see all the best gems that the city had to offer. Well, in Chicago, I at least scratched the surface, I still don’t feel like I had enough time.

This is from one of my first outings. The Lincoln Park Zoo, completely free and a great historical experience. I grew up with an animal love, so going to the zoo was a major part of our summer outings. Lincoln Park Zoo brought back great memories. I’m back to my real life, but I will try to keep adding pictures of my Chicago trip now that I have regular internet access.
